The Moscow Metro opened in 1935. Its historic stations, among them Komsomolskaya with its chandeliers and ceiling mosaics, Mayakovskaya with its mosaic cupolas, Ploshchad Revolyutsii with its bronze figures and Kievskaya, are among the most celebrated underground spaces in the world.
Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Moscow Metro stations before you go.
