The Metro
The Metro opened in 1935. Its Koltsevaya (Circle) line links the main rail terminals, and its historic stations, among them Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Mayakovskaya and Ploshchad Revolyutsii, are sights in themselves.
The Troika card
The Troika card pays for the Metro, buses and trams. Fares change: check them at the ticket offices before you travel.
The Aeroexpress
Aeroexpress trains (aeroexpress.ru) run between the Belorussky terminal and Sheremetyevo, and between the Kievsky terminal and Vnukovo.
The rail terminals
Three terminals stand together on Komsomolskaya Square: the Leningradsky, for St Petersburg; the Yaroslavsky, for Sergiev Posad and the north; and the Kazansky, for Kolomna and the south-east.
